QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – Last year’s 5K run hosted by Valley Christian Academy was so much fun, they’re doing it again.
The second annual family fun run will take place on Saturday, April 29, and phys. ed teacher Katie Molloy is hoping for another good turnout.
“We started last year to raise money for our gym program and to encourage healthy living among our students and families,” said Molloy. “There is a kids’ 1K run and Run-Jump-Throw-Wheel activities for the kids for free, and a simple 5K.”
The cost is $30 for those who register online with The Running Room, and $35 if you wait and register on site on race day.
Sixty-seven participants were registered online as of Tuesday.
“I would like to make in the $2,000-2,500 range,” said Molloy. “My high aim for registrants is 100, but I think 85 is more realistic.”
