SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Daffodil Dash is coming to Saint John.
The non-competitive 5K run/walk is a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society, and will take place on Saturday, June 24.
“It happens across the country but this is our first time hosting it here in Saint John,” said Jill Russell, manager for the southern district of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Participants will start and finish on the waterfront at the HMCS Brunswicker on Chesley Drive, proceeding along Harbour Passage toward Water Street, turning around near the Parco Poo cruise terminal and heading back.

Saint John will host its first Daffodil Dash on Saturday, June 24, in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Refreshments and medals will be provided post-race at the Brunswicker.
“We have over 60 participants registered at this point, and we would love to see even more out to the event,” said Russell.
Participants will wear yellow in support of the fight against cancer, while proceeds from the event will go towards funding Canada’s most promising cancer research, and support services for patients and families.
Also featured will be a 1K mini dash for children.
